Tip of the Week: New Year, New Font? Check out the fonts available on Overleaf

Ryan · January 11, 2018

Are you looking to refresh your document design or layout with some new fonts, or wondering which fonts are available on Overleaf—and how you can use them? If you haven't done so already, one way to unlock many new design/layout possibilities is to switch to using OpenType fonts via XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX—both support modern OpenType font technology which is made easy-to-use via the powerful LaTeX fontspec package.

Over time we have published a number of articles related to fonts so we thought it was about time to collect together some of them to help you discover what is available on Overleaf. One place to start exploring is this post which has a comprehensive list of all the fonts available on Overleaf. We also published this document which provides typeset examples of all the fonts:

If you have specific fonts that you would like to use in your project, you may like to read this article which shows how to load them into your Overleaf project and set them up with fontspec.
