In this project, students create a two-dimensional shape with nonuniform density, finds its center of mass, and hang it from a mobile. The various portion of the project address the differences and relationships between computing the center of mass of a discrete set of point masses and a lamina.
Included here is also a sample solution to help students formulate their own well-written solutions. Also, in the LaTeX code are a few comments to address some of the basics of LaTeX and Overleaf.
This LaTeX template is offered by the UCF College of Graduate Studies. Students should use this template at their own discretion, as the College of Graduate Studies cannot offer ongoing LaTeX formatting support. Students should seek guidance from their thesis or dissertation committee chair and/or their own department for additional LaTeX guidance, as this will likely be the best source for LaTeX information.

Students are responsible for the formatting their ETD to meet the requirements set forth in the Thesis and Dissertation Manual even if the LaTeX template is used.
